Man, I look at the continuation of John 3:16, that being John 3:17 where it says that God didn’t send Christ into the world to CONDEMN it, but to save it through Him! My finite understanding of the truth of scripture tells me that we were condemned at the fall of man in the garden. Romans 8:1 says there is therefore now no condemnation which infers before Him there WAS therefore condemnation. It’s the T in T.U.L.I.P.
(Disclaimer: I just wrote that, and I haven’t listened to the audio file yet. Just wanted to throw that out there! LOL!)
Blessings!

Right on.
In the handout, I had to list John 3:17-18 as it connects to Romans 8:1 and a side connect to Exodus 20:7 and Matthew 7:15-20. But then keep reading in Matthew 7:21-23 and how it all connects.
We are condemn and justified by what we declare with our mouths because out of the overflow of whatever is in our heart does the mouth speaks:
Matthew 12:34 (ESV) You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Luke 6:45 (ESV) The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
